Scarlet Knife Earns 2025 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence
—Celebrating Back-to-Back Wins for Outstanding Wine Excellence—
LATHAM, NY — For the second year in a row, Scarlet Knife has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2025 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the world’s best restaurants for wine.
“A wine list is a restaurant’s identity in print, and this year’s Wine Spectator Restaurant Award winners reflect both deep knowledge and a passion for discovery,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “I proudly present the 3,811 restaurants worldwide that earned a Restaurant Award this year—we raise a glass to all our winners.”
“This back-to-back recognition from Wine Spectator is an incredible honor,” said James Warren, Wine Director of Scarlet Knife. “Our team works hard to source wines that not only stand apart in quality and personality but also elevate the flavors of every dish on our menu. This award affirms our commitment to providing guests with a wine program that is both creative and accessible.”
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service. They are assigned on three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence, and the Grand Award, with 2,010; 1,704; and 97 winners this year in each respective category.
Scarlet Knife has received the Award of Excellence for the second consecutive year. This award recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
With a thoughtfully curated selection of 165 wines, Scarlet Knife’s program is designed to complement the restaurant’s farm-to-table approach and seasonal cuisine. From bold reds to crisp whites and sparkling selections, each bottle is selected with intention—enhancing the dining experience from start to finish.
“At Scarlet Knife, we strive to deliver an experience that fuses culinary excellence with exceptional wine,” said Chef and co-owner Paul Dimm. “Receiving this award two years in a row is a testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team.”
Wine Spectator’s special Restaurant Awards issue will be available to readers beginning July 15, 2025. For more information, visit WineSpectator.com/Restaurants.
